When a family hires you through BubbieCare, you become their direct W2 employee — not an agency worker, not a contractor. That means real employment protections, real tax withholding, and a real paycheck deposited every Friday. We just need your W4 and banking information to get it set up.
Accurate timecards are the foundation of accurate pay. Before your first shift, make sure you understand how the BubbieCare work week is defined and what's expected of you.
The BubbieCare work week runs from Saturday at 12:00 AM through Friday at 11:59 PM. Every shift you work must fall within this window to be counted in that week's payroll.
If you work an overnight shift that begins on Friday and ends Saturday morning, those hours are split across two separate work weeks. Hours worked before midnight Friday belong to the current week. Hours worked after midnight belong to the following week. Make sure your timecard reflects this accurately.
It is your responsibility to clock in and out for every shift using the Caregiver Portal. Timecards must be submitted in a timely and accurate manner each week. Errors or missing punches don't just affect your records — they directly affect your paycheck.
Payroll is finalized every Monday based on the hours your employer has approved. If your timecard is incomplete or incorrect at the time of finalization, your pay for those hours cannot be processed until the following cycle. Stay on top of your clock-ins — it protects your paycheck.
Once your timecards are submitted, everything else is handled automatically. Here's exactly how each week plays out.
You receive a Shift Summary email covering all shifts from the previous work week. Review it carefully and alert your employer immediately if anything looks incorrect.
Payroll is finalized based on the hours approved by your family. Any unresolved timecard disputes after this point may push pay to the following cycle.
Your pay lands in your bank account by Friday afternoon — every week, without fail.
